Later, he extended his expertise in "Bioinformatics and Computational Biology" during stays as Visiting Professor at the EMBL (Heidelberg, Germany) in 1998, at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York, USA) in 2000-2001, and more recently at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) (Boston, USA) (several stays between 2010 - 2020). Dr Javier De Las Rivas is currently a Staff Research Scientist and PI at the CSIC, and his competence to carry out successful research in the fields of human genomics, proteins, bioinformatics and computational biology is demonstrated by his active participation in 50 funded official Research Projects throughout his career and the publication of more than 180 research articles in scientific JCR journals.
