Dr. Ugo De Giorgi has been the Head of the Urologic-Gynecologic Pathology Group at IRST IRCCS in Meldola, Romagna, since April 2009. He soon distinguished himself for his remarkable studies, especially concerning the identification of biomarkers in urological and gynecological cancers, so much so that he was mentioned among the Top Italian Scientists by the Virtual Italian Academy (VIA) in 2016. To date, he has over 450 publications in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals, with more than 16,000 citations (h-index=61, in Scopus).
