Prof. Grazia Maria Liuzz obtained her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Bari and is currently an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Bari. Her research focuses on the role of proteolytic enzymes in the pathogenesis of neurological diseases, with particular attention to their role as therapeutic targets. Her scientific interests are also in studying the impact of environmental factors and natural compounds on human health. Recently, her scientific interest has also been directed toward the theranostic applications of nanotechnologies in the treatment of CNS diseases.
