Du Huaqiang, PhD, who is a professor and doctoral supervisor, is also a member of the Chinese Forestry Society, a standing member of the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Forestry Society, and a member of the Forestry System Engineering Professional Committee of the Fifth Chinese System Engineering Society. He is a first-level trainee of Zhejiang Province's "151 Talent Project", a leader of middle-aged and young disciplines in Zhejiang Province's colleges and universities, and has created a model of forestry science and technology in Zhejiang Province. In recent years, he has mainly conducted research on remote sensing monitoring of forest resources, especially bamboo forests, and the remote sensing quantitative estimation of their carbon cycles. He has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects and one Zhejiang Province Outstanding Youth Science Foundation project, and has participated in many national, provincial, and ministerial projects such as the 973 project, the 948 project of the State Forestry Administration, and the priority themes of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Department. He has won many awards, including the first prize of Zhejiang Province Science and Technology, the third prize of Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award, etc.
