I am Ignacio Diaz-Cano, PhD from the University of Cadiz in Manufacturing, Materials and Environmental Engineering, specializing in Industrial Robotics. I developed my doctoral thesis at Navantia S.A., with an industrial doctorate mention. My thesis dealt with the possibility of automating the welding process in shipbuilding. I have been at the University since 2008 as a professor and since 2017 also as a researcher. I have published several articles in high-impact journals, as well as participated in some conferences. My publications are related to robotics, as well as deep learning and machine learning, acquiring a considerable number of citations for each of the works carried out. I am also a reviewer for the MDPI publishing house, where I have reviewed more than thirty articles in the last two years, which makes me see research from another point of view. In addition to my work with this publisher, I serve as a reviewer for other prominent publishers, including Elsevier and IEEE.
