Dr. Areej Abuhammad (DPhil, MRSC) received her DPhil in pharmacology from Oxford University in 2013. She is currently an associate professor of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. Her main research activities focus on the establishment of structural biology and protein crystallography research in Jordan. She has been awarded the LOréal-UNESCO 2017 Fellowship for Women in Science and the LOréal-UNESCO 2018 International Rising Talents. In addition, she is interested in medical and medicinal chemistry education and utilization of new technologies in education.
