Gabriel Simion is a Lecturer at the Department of Human and Economy Geography of the University of Bucharest and co-editor of Human Geographies—Journal of Studies and Research in Human Geography. He was involved in various research teams as a GIS specialist and spatial data in the fields of land use/cover changes, urban dynamics, and human impact on the environment. He worked as a regional GIS expert in the World Bank projects to developing the GIS-dataset to Support Component C of Romania Climate Change—Bucharest Development Scenario Study;
