Prof. Elisabetta Teodori graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 1982, from the University of Florence, with a grade of 110 cum laude. In 1987, she received a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry (Cycle I) from the University of Florence. In 1992, she was confirmed as a Researcher at
the University of Florence, and in 2002, she was confirmed as an Associate professor. She has been a full professor since 2006, and currently, she works at the Department of Neurosciences, Psychology, Drug Research and Child Health (NEUROFARBA) of the University of Florence. She has also been the Chair of the Bachelor of Science Single-Cycle Degree Program in Pharmacy since 2018. She is the author of more than 140 publications in international journals and numerous communications at international and national conferences. Her scientific activity mainly concerns the design, synthesis and study of multidrug resistance (MDR) reversers acting through the blockade of efflux pumps in cancer and bacterial cells and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, nicotinic and HCN-channel ligands, calcium channel (N and L type) ligands, muscarinic ligands, G protein modulators and nootropics.
