Dr Georgia Sinclair is a CERC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIRO specialising in Environmental Metabolomics. Her research investigates the impact of emerging contaminants, such as PFAS, in urban wetlands on freshwater turtles along Australia’s east coast. By integrating metabolomics, proteomics, and lipidomics with traditional contaminant analysis, her work aims to develop biomarkers of exposure that inform ecological risk assessment and conservation strategies. Georgia’s expertise includes high-resolution mass spectrometry, multi-omic data integration, and environmental chemistry. She completed her PhD at RMIT University, where she studied PFAS-induced sublethal effects in aquatic invertebrates at environmentally relevant concentrations. She is a member of SETAC and Metabolomics Society. Georgia actively collaborates with international experts and stakeholders to translate omics-based findings into practical tools for environmental monitoring and policy development.
