Carole Rossi received her physics engineer degree from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Toulouse, France, in 1994. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and physics in 1997 from the same University. Currently, she is a researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). She is interested in the use of nanomaterials in energy applications for security applications. This includes the use of novel fuel/oxidizer assemblies for advanced pyrotechnical applications such as igniters, thrusters, or microactuators. She has co-authored more than 190 articles and holds 6 European patents. She was awarded from the European Council research in the advanced grant category in 2019.
