She is a full Professor at the University of São Paulo and works at the Department of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, since January 2000 (Associate Professor from 2007-2017). She teaches Food Technology for the undergraduate students and “Probiotic cultures: technological applications” and “Probiotics in food products and their effects on human’s health” for MSc and PhD candidates. She has published 90 peer-reviewed articles (34 in last 5-years), one book, and 22 book chapters, with a total of 2791 citations and an h index of 31, according to ISI - Web of Knowledge do Web of Science (Journal of Citation Reports), and of 3379 citations and an h index of 33, according to Scopus (December 15th, 2022). She was the advisor for 12 PhD, 19 Master in Science, and 25 scientific initiation students and supervisor for 9 post-doc researchers.
