Prof. Qi Feng earned his B.S. degree in natural geography at Shaanxi Normal University in 1989; obtained his M.S. degree at the Lanzhou Institute of Desert Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1992; and received his Ph.D. from Lanzhou Institute of Desert Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995. He joined the Lanzhou Institute of Glaciology and Cryopedology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an associate researcher in 1996. He is currently the Director of the Key Laboratory of Ecohydrology of Inland River Basins and Director of the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2021, he was elected to the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Prof. Feng has long been engaged in theoretical and technological research and development of ecological environment protection and restoration in cold and arid regions.
