Christopher Montemagno, PhD, HDR, is a Research Scientist at the Centre Scientifique de Monaco, where he works within the Stem Cells and Brain Tumors Team. His research focuses on the development of innovative theranostic strategies for pediatric brain tumors, combining molecular imaging, targeted radionuclide therapy, radiotherapy, and characterization of the tumor microenvironment. A major focus of his work is the role of integrins in pediatric brain tumor aggressiveness, radioresistance, and therapeutic response, with the aim of developing clinically translatable approaches for medulloblastoma and infiltrative gliomas. He obtained his PhD in Biology and Health Instrumentation from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2018, with research focused on the development of radiotracers for phenotypic imaging of metastatic breast cancer. In 2024, he obtained his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Université Côte d’Azur, entitled “Innovative therapeutic strategies for pediatric brain tumors.” His main research interests include pediatric neuro-oncology, integrin biology, targeted radionuclide therapy, theranostics, radiotherapy, molecular imaging, and translational radiopharmacy.
