Shien-Fong Lin received the B.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL., USA. He is a Fellow of Heart Rhythm Society and a professor in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. His research interests include cardiac electrophysiology, biomedical optics, optogenetics, intelligent biomedical signal/image processing, and smart rehabilitation. Dr. Lin was awarded an AHA Established Investigator Award in 2005.
