Feng Kang was born in Hebei Province, China, in 1981. He received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from China Agricultural University in Beijing, China, in 2003, 2006 and 2011, respectively. Since 2018, he has been a Professor at Beijing Forestry University. He is currently a Director of the Forestry Machinery Branch and Forestry Engineering Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society. He has published more than 20 academic papers. His research interests include forestry intelligent equipment and artificial intelligence.
