Currently, I am involved in a molecular biology research study on the interplay between senescence, polyploidy and autophagy in the life cycle of cancer cells. I use cell cultures (normal and cancerous cells), microscopy (bright field, fluorescence, and confocal), flow cytometry (cell cycle analysis and apoptosis), Western blots, ELISA, immuno- and cytochemistry and viability assays, as well as advanced statistical analysis. I was a tutor for interns and was an academic teacher of biochemistry and the molecular bases of nutrition for biologists and physicists. Apart from that, I participated as a volunteer in Scientific Picnics organized by the Nencki Institute, which aims to popularize science for children. I was responsible for the organization of a practical winter school as well as an international conference.
