Biography

Alexander Omelyanchik is a PhD-student in Physics at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. His thesis entitled “Magnetic anisotropy of oxides nanohybrids: influence of chemical composition and morphology” is under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Valeria Rodionova and Prof. Davide Peddis. Part of PhD project was performed in the Institute of Structure of Matter ISM - CNR (Rome) and DCIC of the University of Genova (Genova), where AO had PhD student research grants. The research activity of AO is related to the study of magnetic properties of nanostructured magnetic materials including nanoparticles, thin films, microwires, magnetic and multiferroic polymer composites. He has experience in the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles by several methods. AO has experience in the measurements of magnetic properties with DC and AC magnetometry as well as structural and thermal properties of materials. AO has extended experience in performing and elaborating extended protocols of magnetic measurements.
