Dr. Maher Alaraj has been an Associate Professor in the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University since August 2019 and currently serves as the Assistant Chair of the Information Systems Department. Before joining Zayed University, he gained extensive experience across industry, research and development, and professional training. He has worked on developing and validating analytical and predictive modelling solutions to support data-driven decision-making across various sectors. His applied work focuses on building intelligent, reliable, and interpretable machine learning systems aligned with modern best practices. Dr. Alaraj has published in respected international journals and conferences and regularly serves as a reviewer for leading outlets in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science. His research interests include machine learning, explainable AI, sustainability analytics, predictive modelling, and data-driven innovation.
