The digital economy and the green economy are two major issues for economic recovery in the post epidemic era. From spatial interaction spillover, we analyze and measure the relationships between the digital economy and environmental pollution in 287 prefecture-level cities in China from 2008 to 2018 using simultaneous spatial equations and the generalized 3-stage least square (GS3SLS) method. The results show that: (1) there is a reverse and complex spatio-temporal evolution of the digital economy and environmental pollution in Chinese cities. (2) There is a spatial interaction spillover effect between the digital economy and environmental pollution. Local digital economy and environmental pollution inhibit each other. The digital economy and environmental pollution have a significant spatial spillover. The digital economy of surrounding regions has a suppressive effect on local environmental pollution. The environmental pollution of surrounding cities has a crowding-out effect on the local digital economy. (3) Digital economy suppresses environmental pollution through the green development effect and innovative development effect; environmental pollution suppresses the digital economy through the talent crowding out effect and the policy tightening effect. The conclusion of this paper provides evidence for the coupling and coordinated development between the digital and green economy, which is of great significance for promoting the transformation of economic development modes and realizing green and high-quality development.

The combination of digital finance and financial inclusion can better meet the needs of those who have little access to financial services. This paper investigated the differences in the determinants and mechanisms of digital financial inclusion development between urban and rural areas. The sample consists of 1607 counties in China from 2014 to 2019, and uses the fixed-effect model and panel threshold technique. The empirical results indicate that: (1) The industrial economy and governmental intervention are the common determinants of urban and rural digital financial inclusion development, in which the degree is different. At the same time, secondary education is only a determinant in rural areas. (2) Industrial upgrading and indirect finance play a mediating role in the determinants of digital financial inclusion, but indirect finance is only significant for urban areas. (3) There is a threshold effect in the financial development-digital financial inclusion relationship. Under different financial development levels, the determinants of urban and rural digital financial inclusion show the discrepancy. With the development of digital financial inclusion under the trend of promoting innovative digital finance in China, these findings are expected to enhance access to financial services in urban and rural areas for more inclusive and sustainable futures.

The rapid development of VFAs allows investors to diversify their choices of investment products. In this paper, we measure the return risk of VFAs based on GARCH-type model. By establishing a Markov regime-switching Regression (MSR) Model, we explore the asymmetric effects of speculation, investor attention, and market interoperability on return risks in different risk regimes of VFAs. The results show that the influences of speculation and investor attention on the risks of VFAs are significantly positive at all regimes, while market interoperability only admits a positive impact on risk under high risk regime. All of the three factors exert asymmetric effects on risks in different regimes. Further study presents that the risk regime-switching also shows asymmetric characteristic but the medium risk regime is more stable than any others. Therefore, transactions of investors and arbitrageurs are monitored by certain policies, such as limiting the number of transactions or restricting the trading amount at high risk regime. However, when return risk is low, it will return to a medium level if we encourage investors to access.
