Zuyi Huang graduated from Tsinghua University and received his B.E. (2001) and M.S. (2004). Then, he earned his Ph.D. at Texas A&M University (2010). After graduating, he was a Research Scientist at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (2010–2011). He is now an Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Villanova University. His research focuses on the development of mathematical modeling and systems analysis techniques for biological systems in systems biology. Specific attention is paid to metabolic networks and signal transduction pathways utilized by disease-associated pathogens in biofilms or engineered microorganisms for biofuel generation.
