Dr. E. Garcia-Martin is an international reference, considered a pioneer in the evaluation of neurodegenerative pathologies through the eye. She carried out its doctoral thesis in 2010, and since then she created the Neuroophthalmology Research Group at the Miguel Servet University Hospital, leaded 3 consecutive research projects, wrote more than 100 indexed articles on neurodegenerative pathology and the use of neuro-retina as a biomarker. She obtained 17 research awards, directed 14 doctoral theses on this topic (all qualified with Cum Laude) and tutored 4 research contracts in competitive calls (3 postdoctoral and 1 predoctoral), as remarkable merits.
