Prof. Dr. Yi Chen is a PI at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and a Professor at the University of CAS, and Huiyin Institute of Technology. He graduated from Xiamen University in 1981, and obtained his Master's degree and Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, in 1987 and 1990, respectively. Later, he visited the German Max-Planck-Institute for Developmental Biology in 1992–1994 and 1996–1997, respectively, and the University of California Berkeley, USA, in 2002–2004. He started to work on CE in 1984, SPRi in 1997, and bio-MS in 2004. He has since 2000 organized research on in vivo analytical chemistry and founded CAS' Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Living Biosystems in 2009. He is the author and co-author of more than 300 publications, more than 50 patents, and four books.
