Prof. Dr. Edward Cartwright is a professor of economics in the Department of Economics and Marketing and director of the Institute for Applied Economics and Social Value, De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. He obtained a BA in mathematics and economics from the University of Durham and an MSc and PhD in economics from the University of Warwick, UK. Prof. Cartwright’s main research interests are behavioural economics, game theory, and public economics. Much of his research analyses cooperation in small groups, exploring the role of social norms, leadership, framing, and communication.
