Paolo Pastore received the degree in Chemistry in 1985 and the Ph.D. degree in 1990 from the University of Padua (Italy). He is currently Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Padua. At the Ecole Normale Superieure of Paris and then at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he worked on the digital simulation of electrochemical and electrochemiluminescent processes. This main research field was extended in the last years on the optical sensors design, construction, characterization and applications. He is co-author of over 180 peer-reviewed papers, one book, and 4 patents.
