Flavio F. Contreras-Torres is Doctor in Chemistry from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In 2016, he was appointed Professor Researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey and Head for the Laboratory of Nano and Microstructures. Currently, his scientific work includes more than 50 scientific articles and three book chapters. His research interests are focused on the microstructural properties of nanomaterials to gain a fundamental basis from both theoretical and experimental approaches. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, the American Chemical Society, and the International Union of Crystallography. He has also been a Guest Editor for the Materials Today Proceedings journal.
