Dr. Auday Al-Mayyahi

Auday Al-Mayyahi, Ph.D. received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Basrah, Iraq in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Additionally, he received his Ph.D. degree in automation and control from University of Sussex, UK in 2018. He is an alumnus of Fulbright Iraqi Scholar Visitor Program at the University of Wyoming in the USA, 2019. Currently, he is a lecturer at University of Basrah in which he has taught different topics within the area of electrical engineering. Additionally, he is currently the director of Avicenna E-learning Center at University of Basrah. He has achieved the status of associate fellow in recognition of attainment against UK professional standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education. He is also a senior member of IEEE. Al-Mayyahi participated in training workshops, conferences and scientific visits worldwide at the University of Stanford in California, University of Cambridge in England, University of Toronto in Canada, University of Edinburgh in Scotland, University of Delft in Holland, University of Lille in France. His research interests include Robotics, Automation and Computer Vision.
