Dr. Christian Ellersdorfer is an assistant professor and the first deputy of the Vehicle Safety Institute at Graz University of Technology. In 2016, he received his PhD in mechanical engineering there. In 2019, he co-founded the battery safety laboratory BSCG - Battery Safety Center Graz, which is located on campus. His main research interest is the characterisation and modeling of Lithium-based battery systems. He is particularly concerned with the multi-physical behavior of Li batteries under mechanical crash loading.
