Yuyong Jiao, born in Zouping, Shandong Province in 1968, Doctor of geotechnical engineering. He is the current Dean of the School of Engineering, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), the principal professor of the discipline (Level 2), and the doctoral supervisor. He is also the Chairman of the International Society of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering Discontinuous Deformation Analysis Committee (ISRM DDA Commission), the director of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering/the Vice chairman of the Disaster Prevention and Control Branch of Soft Rock and Deep Engineering, etc. He is also the editorial board member and chief editor of journals such as Int J Rock Mech Min Sci. Jiao has long been committed to the research of tunnel and urban underground space, deep mine stope safety, and high-performance scientific calculation of geotechnical engineering. He presided over 1 "973" project, 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 project of the Third Construction Committee of The State Council, more than 30 major engineering projects. Authorized/managed more than 30 national invention patents, won the national science and Technology progress prize 2, Hubei Province science and technology progress prize 2. Editor-in-chief of 2 national industry norms; Co-published 3 monographs and 1 translated book; As of 2021-09-30, 114 SCI papers have been published (H-Index=25).
