Dr. Jasmina Nikić is a Senior Research Associate at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Her research focuses on drinking water quality and treatment, with particular emphasis on the design and development of advanced functional nanomaterials for water purification and the removal of priority contaminants such as arsenic and heavy metals.
Her work effectively bridges fundamental research and real-world application, leading to the development of innovative, efficient, and sustainable water treatment technologies. She has extensive experience in technology transfer, including scaling materials and processes from laboratory to pilot scale, as well as their validation under realistic operating conditions.
Dr. Nikić has authored 27 scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals (h-index 12; more than 450 citations), delivered over 30 presentations at national and international scientific conferences, and contributed to two technical solutions. She has led two national research projects and participated in more than 20 national and international scientific projects. In addition, she has been involved in over 20 industry-oriented projects and pilot studies in the field of drinking water treatment.
She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society, the Environmental Protection Educational Center (EDEN), and the Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering (UTVSI).
