My current research interests are as follows: 1) Biodiversity, systematics, and molecular phylogeny of yeasts; 2) Population genomics and evolutionary biology of wild and domesticated Saccharomyces yeasts; 3) Molecular mechanisms of enhanced fermentation and stress tolerance abilities of domesticated yeasts; 4) Microbiomes associated with traditional fermented foods.
