Prof. Paola Quatrini is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at the University of Palermo. She got a PhD in microbial ecology from the University of Bologna. She is a Member of the Italian Society of Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnologies (SIMGMB) Member of the Deep Carbon Observatory, Deep Life Community, and 2Frontiers Poject. Her main research subjects are soil and marine microbial ecology,  environmental microbiology of contaminated sites, and environmental biotechnology.
