Pal Terek, PhD, is an Associate Professor and head of the Center for Surface Engineering and Nanotechnologies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department for Production Engineering, University of Novi Sad. He is teaching lectures in heat treatment, surface engineering, nanotechnology, and casting technologies. His main research fields are the characterization and development of protective coatings intended for application on tools used for materials processing and application of coatings in the biomedical field; tribological behavior of materials and layers. He closely cooperates with the industry a works on the implementation of coatings into the various fields of mechanical engineering.
