Takuji Tanaka is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Diagnostic Pathology at Gifu Municipal Hospital, Gifu, Japan. He obtained his M.D. in 1976 and Ph.D. in 1982 from Gifu University. His research interests include Liver, Colon Cancer, Cytology, Cancer Biology, Hepatitis, Colorectal Cancer, Hepatocyte Carcinoma, Tumors, Endometriosis, and Ulcerative Colitis. He has an h-Index of 84, and his papers have been cited more than 24,700 times (Scopus, 20 October 2023).
