Florin Popa earned his bachelor's degree in Physics at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in 2003; his master's degree in Physics at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in 2004; his Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering (Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and the Physics of Materials (Joseph Fourier University Grenoble, France) in 2008. He has been an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca since 2018. Florin Popa’s experience and expertise focus on the synthesis and study of nanocrystalline/nanocomposite materials, mechanical alloying, electron microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, X-ray diffraction and structure refinement, Rietveld analysis, magnetism, and heat treatments.
