Dr. Alina S Puig has a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Florida (USA) and works as a Research Plant Pathologist with the USDA-ARS Foreign Disease-Weed Science Research Unit at Ft. Detrick MD. Current research focuses on genetic diversity and epidemiology of emerging pathogens of Theobroma cacao and other economically significant plants.
