Dr. Aasif Helal completed his Ph.D. in 2010 on the “Synthesis and Ion Sensing Properties of Thiazole based Receptors”. In March 2010, he joined as a postdoctoral Fellow at the same university for “the development of ESIPT based ion-sensing molecular probes”. In 2012, he joined the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Seoul National University of Seoul, South Korea as a Post-Doctoral Fellow for “the synthesis of novel molecular materials and metal-organic frameworks and their application in Solar Cells, and sensors”. In December 2013, he joined CENT as a Research Scientist III. His research interests include the design and synthesis of novel organic molecular materials and metal–organic frameworks as sensors and catalysts.
