Dr. Bai is a UK Chartered Engineer (CEng) with 10+ years' experience in high-temperature materials for power generation (aerospace gas turbines, biomass-fired power plants, and nuclear reactors) and surface engineering for the protection of metals against environmental degradation (oxidation, corrosion, and wear). He received his PhD in Materials from the University of Manchester in 2015. He is currently working at the University of Leeds as an Assistant Professor of Surface Engineering.
