Mei Xin was born in 1973. He received his Ph.D. in Cartography and GIS from the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. From 2007 to the present, he has been a teacher in the School of Resources and Environment of Hubei University. He is currently a professor and associate dean of the college. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 papers. His research interests include digital village and smart city governance, spatial big data visualization, and environmental geographic information systems and ecological agriculture and agricultural informatization.
