Dr. Claudio Martínez has 25 years of experience, having worked at the University of Santiago de Chile and the University of Chile. He holds a Ph.D. in Science with a major in Biology from the University of Chile in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology from the University of Chile in 1988. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of Santiago de Chile. His main lines of research are microbiology and food biotechnology, biotechnology of industrial yeasts, and genetics. He has served as the Vice-Rector of Research at the University of Santiago de Chile. He is currently the Director of the Department of Food Science and Technology.
