Demin Gao received his PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, in 2012. During 2011–2012, he pursued his studies as a joint PhD student and attended the research lab of Kwan-wu Chin in the School of Electrical Computer Telecommunications Engineering, University of Wollongong, Australia. He joined the College of Information Science and Technology of Nanjing Forestry University, China, as a lecturer and an associate professor in 2012 and 2016. During 2013–2016, he pursued advanced postdoctoral engineering training at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing City, China. In 2016, he pursued his research as a visiting scholar and attended the research lab of Tian He in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Minneapolis, USA. His current research fields include routing protocols based on cross-technology Communication for delay-tolerant, data aggregation, and multiconstrained routing algorithms in wireless sensor networks and energy-harvesting wireless sensor networks.
