An Agri-Food Systems Scientist, at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) – Rwanda, and Manager RUNRES (Rural-Urban Nexus: Establishing a Nutrient Loop to Improve City Region Food Systems Resilience) project. We use Transdisciplinary innovation platforms (TdIPs) in locally important food value chains (i.e. fruit, coffee, cassava, vegetables) to identify circular bioeconomy solutions aimed at closing nutrient loops and improving the resilience of rural-urban nexus food systems.
