Dr. Javier Martinez-Torres is a Doctor of Engineering from the University of Vigo and a Mathematician (University of Santiago) with a specialty in Applied Mathematics. He graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela with a BSc in Applied Mathematics in 2006. Then, he obtained his MSc in Engineering Mathematics and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Vigo in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He was a Contracted Doctor Professor at the Defense University Center (CUD) of Zaragoza since 2010 and a Doctor Assistant at the CUD of Marín. From there, he was the director of the I and II Master's Degree in Decision Support Techniques at the University of Alcalá. Currently, in addition to being a professor at the School of Engineering and Technology and a UNED tutor at the CA of Pontevedra, he is a professor at UNIR. His main lines of research are Functional Statistical Techniques, Artificial Intelligence, and Image Processing.
