Linked open data is a relatively new topic area with great potential in a wide range of fields. In the tourism domain, many studies are using linked open data to address the problem of location-based recommendation by integrating data with other linked open datasets to enrich data and tourism content for reacting to the needs of tourists. This work aims not only to present a systematic review and mapping of the linked open data in location-based recommendation system on tourism domain, but also to provide an overview of the current research status in the area. First, we classify journal papers in this area from 2001 to 2018 by the year of publication. Second, we analyze and categorize journal papers by the different recommendation applications including problem formulations, data collections, proposed algorithms/systems, and experimental results. Third, we group the linked open data sources used in location-based recommendation system on tourism. Next, we summarize the research achievements and present the distribution of the different categories of location-based recommendation applications via linked open data. Last, we also guide the possible future research direction for the linked open data in location-based recommendations on tourism.

Over the past few years, the growing popularity of online education has enabled there to be a large amount of students’ learning behavior data stored, which brings great opportunities and challenges to the field of educational data mining. Students’ learning performance can be predicted, based on students’ learning behavior data, so as to identify at-risk students who need timely help to complete their studies and improve students’ learning performance and online teaching quality. In order to make full use of these learning behavior data, a new prediction method was designed based on existing research. This method constructs a hybrid deep learning model, which can simultaneously obtain the temporal behavior information and the overall behavior information from the learning behavior data, so that it can more accurately predict the high-risk students. When compared with existing deep learning methods, the experimental results show that the proposed method offers better predicting performance.

Massive multidimensional health data collected from Internet of Things (IoT) devices are driving a new era of smart health, and with it come privacy concerns. Privacy-preserving data aggregation (PDA) is a proven solution providing statistics while hiding raw data. However, existing PDA schemes ignore the willingness of data owners to share, so data owners may refuse to share data. To increase their willingness to contribute data, we propose an OPtional dimEnsional pRivacy-preserving data Aggregation scheme (OPERA) to provide data contributors with options on sharing dimensions while keeping their choices and data private. OPERA uses selection vectors to represent the decisions of users and count participants dimensionally and achieves data privacy and utility based on a multisecret sharing method and symmetric homomorphic cryptography. Analyses show that in OPERA, the probability of adversaries breaching privacy is less than 4.68e-97. Performance evaluations demonstrate that OPERA is outstanding in computation and practical in communication.
