Prof. Dr. Xiguang Yang received a B.Sc. degree in Geographic Information Systems from Northeast Forestry University in 2007; an M.Sc. degree in Forest Management from Northeast Forestry University in 2010; and a Ph.D. degree in Marine Geology (Water Color Remote Sensing) from the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2013. He is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Forestry, Northeast Forestry University. He is mainly engaged in research of remote sensing and geographic information system theory and methods, with research directions in quantitative remote sensing, remote sensing parameterizations of carbon cycle models, and the application of remote sensing technology in resource and environmental investigations and evaluations.
