Samantha A Brooks is a professor at the Department of Animal Sciences, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA. She received her B.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA in 2001, and her Ph.D. in Veterinary Science at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA in 2006. She is a member of the American Society of Animal Science, the Equine Science Society, the National Association of Equine Affiliated Academics, and the International Society of Animal Genetics. Her research program explores a variety of topics relevant to horse health, ranging from gene expression studies to the mapping of genetic disorders.
