Tiziano Marzo received his PhD in bioinorganic chemistry from the University of Florence in 2016. In the frame of COST action CM1105, he spent a period at the Dpt. Química Inorgánica, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, for the synthesis of platinum anticancer drugs. In 2016, he received financial support for three years from the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC), fellowship “David Raffaelli”, for the development of novel cisplatin and oxaliplatin analogues at the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, University of Pisa. Since November 1st, 2018, he obtained a position at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Pisa, where he currently serves an assistant professor of general and inorganic chemistry. His research interests are focused on bioinorganic and inorganic medicinal chemistry.
