Wonchoel Lee has extensive experience researching marine benthic and planktonic copepods, including, in particular, meiofaunal harpacticoids from both littoral and deep-sea sediments, hydrothermal vents and cold seeps. Lee has collaborated on works on eco-toxicology in aquatic invertebrates and the taxonomy and ecology of cave animals, including terrestrial spiders and insects. Lee has 193 scientific publications in international and local journals on systematics, ecology and phylogeny.
