Prof. Roberto Paolesse received a Laurea degree in Chemistry (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1983. After a post-doc period at the same university, he has been at the University of Rome Tor Vergata since 1986, and he is now a full professor of chemistry at the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies. His research interests cover the synthesis and characterization of porphyrinoids and their applications in chemical sensors, sensor arrays, and optoelectronic devices. He has served as an associate editor of the Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines since 2006. He is the author and co-author of more than 430 research articles (H-index 58—Scopus, September 2021) and has edited two books. ORCID ID: 0000-0002-2380-1404.
