Joanna Brzeska works as a professor at the Gdynia Maritime University (Poland). She obtained a master's degree (in 1998), doctorate (in 2010), and habilitation (in 2018) by synthesizing and testing elastomeric polyurethane materials made of natural or synthetic biodegradable substrates. The results of her work on degradable polyurethanes were documented by being published in indexed scientific journals. In her research, she collaborates with domestic and foreign centers, as well as with the 'Materials+Technologies' (GMT) group, at the University of the Basque Country, where she held a post a short-term internship on four occasions. Currently, her research interests include modifying the properties of elastomers and polyurethane foams and environmental management with the use of waste. A large part of her work involves teaching students in chemistry, chemical recycling, nanotechnology, and green chemistry.
