Vinuthaa Murthy is a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Charles Darwin University, Australia. She earned a Bachelor of Science in 1986 and a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry in 1988, both from Bangalore University, and received her Ph.D. in Theoretical Predictions of Group 13 Hydrides from Charles Darwin University in 2004. Her current research focuses on nanochemistry, with applications in two main areas: (1) the removal of emerging contaminants in wastewater using nanoparticles, and (2) the design and characterization of nanomaterials conjugated with native plant extracts for biomedical applications.
